About NetLanScan
A single-purpose manual: how to see what is on your local network, written after actually running the tools described.
Why this site exists
Most scanner write-ups are either vendor brochures or forum posts that assume you already know the jargon. NetLanScan sits in between: plain-language manuals for three tools we have run on real home and small-office LANs, with the awkward bits — unsigned macOS builds, empty MAC columns, antivirus complaints — left in on purpose.
How we test
Each guide follows the same shape: install or unpack, run one sweep on a live subnet, export results, try to break something. Screenshots come from the vendors' own documentation pages and are credited as such; we host copies of nothing.
Downloads and links
Download buttons pass through an external gate that checks the request and then forwards to the vendor's distribution. If a download ever fails, use the vendor's site directly — the linked address is printed next to every button.
